The launch of the First TANZIE Training of Trainers Workshop and Management Meeting in Tanzania was successfully coordinated by Mzumbe University (MU) and held today, 7th October 2025, at the Mzumbe University Main Campus in Morogoro.

The three-day event convened TANZIE partners from Europe, namely the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the University of Alicante (UA), and the University of Saarland (USAAR), as well as five Tanzanian partner institutions: the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU), Mzumbe University (MU), Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Muslim University of Morogoro (MUM), and Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS).The workshop was officially opened by the Executive Secretary of TCU, Prof. Charles Kihampa.

The objectives of the workshop include building capacity for internationalization in higher education institutions, with a focus on the fundamentals of internationalization, mobility programmes, assessment of the quality of internationalization, fundraising, and the development of strategic action plans.

Muslim University of Morogoro was represented by five members, Prof. Salum Haji, Dr. Halidi Lyeme, Dr. Jaha Mulema, Dr. Hassan Issa and Mr. Yahya Mhando.
